NES things FAQs and answers (a FAQ page if you want)
Nesticle, a popular emulator, that is easy to use, and flexible, sometimes has problems: Nesticle Can't load/save files:
in Nesticle, go to File -> Directories
copy these down
then, go to those folders, using Windows Explorer/My Computer, and right click them
if they do not exist, right click -> New -> Folder -> name it something, note its name, and continue with the rest of this
select properties
uncheck "read-only"
click OK
double click on said folder
Edit menu -> Select ALL
hold ALT and press Enter, to bring up the properties
uncheck "Readonly" and click OK
now try.
if you had to make a new folder, remember it's name, and go to File -> Diretories, and type them in there.
If Nesticle seems too old or primitive for your tastes, or you dislike the interface, and want a standard Windows GUI, Try FCE Ultra which has far surpassed Nesticle in compatibility, and accuracy. meaning, things just work better with FCE Ultra.
